Good evening! We are gathered here tonight to give a send-off to the colleagues from Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs who will head to China for studies and training. First of all, on behalf of all functionaries of the Chinese Embassy in Sudan, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you here and wish you a comfortable and pleasant trip in Beijing. I am confident that everyone will set out cheerfully and come back with fruitful results.

大家此行適逢世界正面臨百年未有之大變局的重要時(shí)刻。以中國為代表的發(fā)展中國家群體性崛起，有力推動(dòng)國際力量對(duì)比朝著均衡化和多極化的方向演進(jìn)。但當(dāng)前單邊主義、保護(hù)主義和霸凌行徑不斷抬頭，特別是美國單方面挑起對(duì)華貿(mào)易戰(zhàn)，旨在遏制中國的崛起和發(fā)展，違反國際規(guī)則，破壞國際貿(mào)易秩序，拖累全球經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)。對(duì)于貿(mào)易戰(zhàn)，中國不愿打，不怕打，必要時(shí)也不得不打，中美經(jīng)貿(mào)合作的本質(zhì)是互利雙贏，中方始終堅(jiān)持平等對(duì)話協(xié)商是解決問題的唯一正確選擇。

Your visit comes in a crucial period when our world is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century. The rise of a group of developing countries represented by China has effectively pushed forward the development of the global power structure toward equilibrium and multipolarity. However, unilateralism, trade protectionism and bullying behaviors are currently on the rise, in particular the trade war unilaterally triggered by the US side to contain China’s rise and development, which violates the international rules, disrupting the international trade order and exerting a drag on global economic growth. China does not want a trade war, but is not afraid of one and will fight one if necessary. The essence of China-US economic and trade cooperation is mutual benefit and win-win cooperation. The Chinese government insists that dialogue on an equal footing is the only way to solve problems.

面對(duì)大變局，中方始終堅(jiān)持多邊主義和國際公平正義，維護(hù)以聯(lián)合國為核心的國際體系，維護(hù)以國際法為基礎(chǔ)的國際秩序，維護(hù)以世貿(mào)組織為核心的多邊貿(mào)易體系。中方愿與包括蘇丹在內(nèi)的廣大發(fā)展中國家同舟共濟(jì)、凝心聚力，維護(hù)共同利益和發(fā)展空間，為推動(dòng)構(gòu)建人類命運(yùn)共同體譜寫團(tuán)結(jié)協(xié)作、互利共贏的新篇章。

Facing the profound changes, China will remain committed to multilateralism and international equity and justice, firmly uphold the international system centered around the United Nations, maintain the international order based on international laws, and safeguard the multilateral trading system with the WTO at its core. China stands ready to work together with a vast number of developing countries, including Sudan, to safeguard common interests and development space and open a new chapter for unity, cooperation and mutual benefit in building a community with shared future for mankind.

Your visit comes at this vital moment when Sudan is undergoing profound changes unseen in three decades. Sudan’s role as China’s major strategic partner in West Asia and Africa and also one of key countries along the route of Belt and Road Initiative will remain unchanged, no matter how the situation may change. The longstanding traditional friendship between the two peoples and the solid and in-depth cooperation between our two countries will continue. China and Sudan are always good friends that stand by each other regardless of hardships, close partners that share joys and sorrows, and also good brothers that are reliable and sincere to each other.

Under the new situation, China hopes the strategic partnership between China and Sudan may secure a smooth transition and advance to a higher level. Both sides should promote closer exchanges at all levels, stronger political mutual trust, wider mutually-beneficial and pragmatic cooperation, and deeper people-to-people exchanges to realize the shared interests and opportunities in our cooperation and exchanges and enable the China-Sudan relations to bring more benefits to our two countries and the two peoples.

China is willing to align the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eight Major Initiatives proposed at the FOCAC Beijing Summit with national development strategies of Sudan, and is committed to enhancing experience sharing on state governance, pushing for more achievements through our practical cooperation and ensuring our cooperation is sustainable and of high quality, in hopes to assist Sudan in pursuing independent development and achieve win-win results. I am convinced that all of you will make your contributions to China-Sudan friendship in the next six decades, as all of you are parties participating in, practicing and safeguarding the amicable partnership between our two nations.

It gives me great pleasure to celebrate with you the 92ndanniversary of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in the UAE, I would like to extend my festive greetings to the PLA, and my warm welcome and sincere thanks to all guests present here tonight.

“Recalling the past glories, we aspire to a better future”. This year marks the 92nd anniversary of the PLA. Over the past 92 years, the PLA has worked arduously and strived heroically under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, thus making tremendous contributions to China’s independence, liberation and prosperity, to national sovereignty, security and development interests, and to world peace and human development. At present, our defense and military development with Chinese characteristics has entered a new chapter. The PLA is accelerating in fostering a world-class people’s army that is reformed, modernized and regularized, which is providing strong support for the realization of the Two Centenary Goals and the Chinese Dream of great national rejuvenation.

和平是全人類的共同愿望和崇高目標(biāo)，中國始終是世界和平的維護(hù)者、參與者和建設(shè)者。中國軍隊(duì)始終是維護(hù)世界和平的堅(jiān)定力量，愿與各國軍隊(duì)一道，深化軍事交流與合作，為維護(hù)世界和平發(fā)展發(fā)揮更大作用。今年是中國參與聯(lián)合國維和行動(dòng)29周年。近30年以來，中國共參與24項(xiàng)維和行動(dòng)，派出維和人員近4萬人次，參與維和任務(wù)區(qū)道路修建工程1.3萬余公里，運(yùn)輸總里程1300萬公里，接診病人17萬余人次，完成武裝護(hù)衛(wèi)巡邏等任務(wù)300余次。中國海軍醫(yī)院船已訪問43個(gè)國家，惠及當(dāng)?shù)孛癖?3萬余人次。未來，中國軍隊(duì)將更加積極地參與國際維和、反恐和人道主義救援，加強(qiáng)防擴(kuò)散國際合作，參與管控?zé)狳c(diǎn)敏感問題，共同維護(hù)國際通道安全，參與維護(hù)全球網(wǎng)絡(luò)安全，提供更多公共安全產(chǎn)品，用實(shí)際行動(dòng)彰顯大國擔(dān)當(dāng)和構(gòu)建人類命運(yùn)共同體的決心，為維護(hù)世界和平、促進(jìn)共同發(fā)展作出更大貢獻(xiàn)。

Peace is the common aspiration and lofty goal of all mankind. China will always be the defender, participant and builder of world peace. As a firm guardian of world peace, the PLA stands ready to deepen military exchanges and cooperation with armies of other countries, to make a bigger contribution to world peace and development. This year marks the 29th anniversary of China’s participation in the UN peacekeeping operations. During that course, China has dispatched nearly40 thousand peacekeepers who have taken part in 24 UN peacekeeping operations. In total, they have built 13 thousand kilometers of road, involved to complete 13 million kilometers of cargo transportation, treated 170 thousand patients, and accomplished over 300 armed patrols and escorts, to name but a few. Chinese naval hospital ships have visited 43 countries and delivered medical services to over 230 thousand local people. In the future, the Chinese army will be more active in international peacekeeping missions, counter-terrorism and humanitarian relief, enhance international cooperation on non-proliferation, take part in the management of sensitive hotspots, jointly safeguard the security of international routes, and provide more public security products. China will show in practice its determination to take responsibility as a major country, to build a community of shared future for mankind, and to make greater contributions in maintaining world peace and promoting common development.

近年來，中阿兩國防務(wù)合作不斷走深走實(shí)。今年以來，中國國務(wù)委員兼國防部長(zhǎng)魏鳳和訪阿，中國軍隊(duì)高級(jí)代表團(tuán)出席阿布扎比國際防務(wù)展，中國海軍“昆侖山”艦首次參加海軍防務(wù)展。中阿軍事交流互動(dòng)促進(jìn)了雙方相互了解，增進(jìn)了彼此友誼，成為中阿全方位合作的重要組成部分。相信在雙方的共同努力下，中阿軍事關(guān)系將取得新發(fā)展，不斷達(dá)到新高度。

In recent years, China-UAE defense cooperation has been deepened and substantiated. This year, Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister Wei Fenghe visited the UAE; a high-level military delegation from China attended the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi; and Chinese naval vessel Kunlunshan for the first time participated in the Naval Defense and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX). Military exchanges and interactions between China and the UAE have boosted mutual understanding and friendship, and become an important part of our all-dimensional cooperation. I believe with concerted efforts, China and the UAE will achieve new developments and reach new heights in our military relationship.

女士們、先生們，

Ladies and Gentlemen,

2019年是中華人民共和國建國70周年，也是中國和阿聯(lián)酋建立外交關(guān)系35周年。中阿關(guān)系正處于歷史上最好的發(fā)展時(shí)期。去年7月，習(xí)近平主席成功訪問阿聯(lián)酋。幾天前，阿布扎比王儲(chǔ)穆罕默德殿下也成功訪問中國。兩國最高領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人在一年時(shí)間內(nèi)實(shí)現(xiàn)互訪，充分體現(xiàn)了中阿全面戰(zhàn)略伙伴關(guān)系的高水平運(yùn)行和兩國關(guān)系的特殊重要性，在中阿關(guān)系發(fā)展史上具有里程碑意義。讓我們以兩國領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人互訪為契機(jī)，不斷提升兩國在軍事、政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、人文等各領(lǐng)域合作水平，進(jìn)一步充實(shí)兩國全面戰(zhàn)略伙伴關(guān)系內(nèi)涵，推動(dòng)中阿合作這艘巨輪揚(yáng)帆起航，踏上新時(shí)代兩國共同發(fā)展的新征程!

The year 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the 35th anniversary of China-UAE relationship, which is now at its best period of development in history. Last July, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a successful visit to the UAE. Only few days ago, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed returned a successful visit to China. The exchange of visits between our top leaders within a year created a milestone in the history of China-UAE relationship, which is also testimony to the high levels and special significance of China-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership. Let’s take our leaders’ mutual visits as an opportunity to push ahead with bilateral cooperation in the fields of military, political, economic and cultural exchanges, and further expand China-UAE great partnership, to promote the giant ship of China-UAE cooperation to set sail and embark on a new journey of common development in the new era!

Good morning!

我非常高興今天和你們一同參加“美麗中國”文萊小學(xué)生主題繪畫比賽頒獎(jiǎng)儀式暨畫展開幕式。首先我要感謝文萊教育部對(duì)此次活動(dòng)的大力支持，感謝各參賽學(xué)校和學(xué)生家長(zhǎng)的鼎力配合，感謝評(píng)委提供的寶貴意見。當(dāng)然，最要感謝的還是每一位參賽的小朋友。

It gives me great pleasure to have all of you today for the Awarding and Exhibition Launching Ceremony of “Beauty of China” Painting Competition. I extend my special thanks to Datin Dr. Hajah Romaizah for attending this event. I would also like to thank the officials from the Ministry of Education, for your strong support to make this event happen. I also thank the participating schools and the parents of the students for your support and encouragement and cooperation and the judges for your valuable comments. Of course, I would like to thank every kids who participated in the painting competition, who not only showing your painting talents but also knowledge about China.

這次比賽共有來自近19所小學(xué)的400余名參賽者。經(jīng)評(píng)委認(rèn)真篩選，選出70幅優(yōu)勝作品。確定特等獎(jiǎng)兩名，一等獎(jiǎng)3名，二等獎(jiǎng)5名，三等獎(jiǎng)10名和鼓勵(lì)獎(jiǎng)50名。從展出的作品，可以看到你們的童心、童趣、童真。稚嫩的畫作色彩斑斕，想象飛揚(yáng)，長(zhǎng)城、古塔、巨龍、熊貓，這些都是中國符號(hào)性的元素。感謝大家用畫筆畫出了中國的美好，中國的文化。我非常喜歡!

Here were more than 400 participants from 19 primary schools. After careful selection by the judges, 70 winning works were selected, including two special awards, three first prizes, five second prizes, 10 third prizes and 50 encouragement awards. From your paintings on display we find beauty of China in children’s eyes which are pure, simple and beautiful. The paintings are colorful, vivid and full of imagination. The Great Wall, the ancient pagoda, the giant dragon and the panda are all symbolic elements of China. We are able to see the beauty of China through the paintings and touch the Chinese Culture under the future young artists’ brushes. I like your paintings very much!

中國與文萊有著悠久的交往歷史和傳統(tǒng)友誼，兩國隔海相望，是睦鄰。文萊有王總兵路和蒲公墓，中國南京有浡泥國王墓，這都是兩國友好交往的歷史見證。近年來，中文關(guān)系迅速發(fā)展。2018年，中國國家主席習(xí)近平成功訪問文萊，兩國元首決定將兩國關(guān)系提升為戰(zhàn)略合作伙伴關(guān)系。今年4月，文萊蘇丹陛下出席在北京舉行的第二屆“一帶一路”國際合作高峰論壇。中文關(guān)系站在新的起點(diǎn)。

China and Brunei facing each other across the sea, are good neighbors sharing a long history of exchanges and traditional friendship. Jalan Ong Sum Ping and Pu Kung Chih Mu in Bandar Seri Begawan and the Tomb of the King of Boni in China’s Nanjing city witnessed the long history of friendly interactions between our two countries. In the past few years, China-Brunei relations have developed rapidly. In 2018, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a successful visit to Brunei. Last April, His Majesty attended the second “Belt and Road” Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing. Our relations now have come to a new point.

國與國的友好合作需要民間的支持與參與，有了民意基礎(chǔ)，國家友好的根基就更牢靠。舉辦本次“美麗中國”文萊小學(xué)生繪畫比賽的目的，就是希望小朋友們更多地了解中國、認(rèn)識(shí)中國、喜歡中國，成為中文友好的后備力量。中國有廣袤的國土、秀美的風(fēng)光、燦爛的文化、友善的人民。歡迎大家到中國去旅游，親身感受中國。

The friendly cooperation between countries requires people’s support and participants. The purpose of holding this “Beauty of China” painting competition is to promote China among children. We hope children in Brunei know more about China, understand more about China, like China, and become supporters of China-Brunei friendship. China has vast territory, beautiful scenery, splendid culture and friendly people. You are welcome to travel to China and experience China by yourself.
