在雅思口語考試現(xiàn)場,經(jīng)常會出現(xiàn)一個讓考生緊張萬分的現(xiàn)象:就在考生侃侃而談之時,考官會不時地在紙上記錄些什么。

他們是在記錄我們的考試分數(shù)嗎?還是在記錄我們的錯誤數(shù)呢?

想到這里,很多不明真相的考生難免惴惴不安,甚至發(fā)揮失常。

事實上,在雅思口語考試過程中,考官在紙上記錄的并非問題清單,也不是考生的考試分數(shù),而是時間。

考官需要控制每一部分的答題時間:第一部分考官需要控制在 4-5 分鐘;第二部分,考生有 1 分鐘做準備,2 分鐘進行答題;第三部分需要 4-5 分鐘的時間。

所以,當你看到考官在考試中正在記錄什么,大家無需擔心,也不必緊張??脊偈菍r間記錄下來,而與你的分數(shù)及出錯情況沒有任何關(guān)系。

那么,什么樣的答案才是好答案,有哪些得分點呢?

得分點一:Fluency & Coherence (流利性與連貫性)

「流利性與連貫性」指語言表達詳盡,能夠符合邏輯地表達觀點,并進行充分論證;能夠就出現(xiàn)的話題進行討論和推測。

在表達過程中沒有不自然的停頓,或重復(fù)使用相同的用詞。因此,不建議考生在口語考試中直接背誦提前準備好的資料,因為背誦會流露出緊張情緒和不自然的停頓,這樣反而會降低口語分數(shù)。

7分口語練習(xí)建議:

建議大家注意以下方面的訓(xùn)練:

1. 就某一話題展開討論時,可以為自己的觀點加入一些細節(jié)信息。(比如考官問 What do you do? 相比于直接回答 I'm a teacher,更好的答復(fù)是:I have been a high school mathematics teacher in New York for over 5 years.)

2. 對于口語考試的第二部分,記得使用問題卡上的要點,幫助組織個人陳述的內(nèi)容。

3. 口語考試第三部分,注意將自己的答案進行擴展,使表達盡量詳盡。可以就某一話題多思考原因、結(jié)果、對比方面、支持性例子及個人經(jīng)歷。

4. 錄音并進行回放,檢查自己是否在連接表達方式、停頓猶豫、詞語重復(fù)及語速時快時慢等方面存在問題,并對癥進行改正。

得分點二:Pronunciation(發(fā)音)

這部分考察發(fā)音各要素的的準確性和多樣性,包括每個音素的發(fā)音。

單詞重讀

有時單詞的拼寫可能會對發(fā)音造成混淆,比如,euphemism ['ju?f?m?z?m] ,重音在第一個音節(jié),但很多人常常把第二個音節(jié)作為重音,從而重讀了錯誤的音節(jié)。

此外,當出現(xiàn)有相同詞根的單詞時,單詞中的重讀容易出現(xiàn)混淆,比如:PHOtograph, phoTography, photoGRAphic 這三個詞中,都出現(xiàn)了同一個詞根 photo,但是重音卻分別在不同的位置。

句中重讀

這里指的是句中的某些單詞需要強調(diào)或發(fā)音會比其它部分音量更大。比如:If I were YOU, I'd go by BUS。這句話中,You 和 Bus 都需要強調(diào)。

語調(diào)

好的發(fā)音還需要注意語調(diào)。語調(diào)指的是在談話過程中音調(diào)的變化。單一的語調(diào)常見于那些背誦長篇答案的考生,這樣的表現(xiàn)可能會降低口語部分的得分。

音段

音段是指在談話中有節(jié)奏地將一段一段的詞組進行組合,并簡短地斷開,這是優(yōu)秀的演講家常常使用的語言技巧。

而值得注意的是,多樣性需以準確性為前提,比如需要遵循一些固定的詞語搭配原則,不能自己生搬硬造;需要注意單詞的褒貶性,將正確的詞性運用于合適的情感表達之中。

得分點四:Grammatical Range & Accuracy(語法多樣性及準確性)

這一評分標準著重考查考生在口語表達時語法方面的多樣性以及準確性。

語法多樣性包括:在表達過程中使用各種不同的復(fù)雜句型結(jié)構(gòu),這些句子包含了多個信息點。比如:

At eleventh hour, my teacher took a bold decision and he approached me with a firm trust that I could shoulder my friend’s responsibility. I became very nervous because I had never hosted any event before but I respected the faith of my teacher and with the help of my friend, I prepared myself a night before. Next day, I was feeling butterflies in my stomach when the event started but honestly speaking, the whole event went smooth when I stood on the podium. After the event, I took a sigh of relief and when my teachers and friends complimented me, I felt on top of the world. I received an award as well from the chief guest of the function. I, then, went back to hospital to meet my friend and I gave her the award which I think she truly deserved.

All in all, it was such a great experience of my life and it made me realise tht life is all about going boldly after your dreams without paying attention to naysayer. Thanks.
