備戰(zhàn)口譯考試的一些翻譯技巧
口譯三字訣：順著譯、補語氣、加解釋
順著譯
由于性質(zhì)不同，口譯的要求與筆譯大相徑庭，不能照搬筆譯的做法。首先，即使是譯員事先得到了講稿，而且有必要提前翻譯成文字稿，也需要注意避免筆譯經(jīng)常使用的、把句子順序按照中文習(xí)慣重新安排的手法。如果譯文和原文句子順序相同，講話人脫稿時你就比較容易覺察到。而且即使沒有脫稿，聽上去也比較有現(xiàn)場感。
這樣的文字處理，與同傳中的斷句技巧相似。要想熟練地做到順著譯，就需要比較熟練地采用一些同傳的斷句技巧。但是必須強(qiáng)調(diào)：不一定要先學(xué)同傳才能練口譯。
例：
講話原文：The barrier is part of an overall tidal defence system, put in place due to the increasing height of surge tides in the Thames estuary.
筆譯習(xí)慣：閘門是用來阻擋泰晤士河口海潮浪頭越來越高的整體防洪體系的組成部分。
建議口譯：閘門是整體防洪體系的組成部分，用來阻擋泰晤士河口海潮越來越高的浪頭。
補語氣
有時為了傳達(dá)語氣，譯員可以增加一些字詞，或者調(diào)整譯文來產(chǎn)生講話人預(yù)期達(dá)到的效果。這些是筆譯中不必考慮的。
例：
講話原文：Mr. President, if you want to find friends of China, you can do no better than looking round here today, among members of CBBC(英中貿(mào)易協(xié)會).
參考筆譯：主席先生，如果要找中國的朋友，就看今天在場的英中貿(mào)易協(xié)會成員就可以了。
但是當(dāng)時鮑威爾勛爵把話說得抑揚頓挫，鏗鏘有力。我覺得必須在文字上做一些處理，才能把講話人的語氣表達(dá)出來。
實戰(zhàn)處理：主席先生，如果要找中國的朋友，除了今天在場的英中貿(mào)易協(xié)會成員之外，別無他處。
從純文字看，譯文與原文并不完全相符。但是，按照口譯要求處理之后，現(xiàn)場的語氣和效果與原話很接近。這是一個比較典型的例子，說明口譯中需要考慮筆譯中沒有的因素。
加解釋
最典型的場合是對幽默的處理。實戰(zhàn)口譯中經(jīng)常碰到講話人靈機(jī)一動，開個玩笑。如果是筆譯，可以琢磨一下怎么處理。但口譯時，譯員必須馬上張口說出譯文，根本沒有琢磨的時間。如果有辦法把幽默翻譯過去，當(dāng)然應(yīng)該翻譯過去。但是情急之下翻譯不過去的，就補充解釋、說明一下。
例：
講話原文：Two balloons were floating across the dessert. One balloon said to the other: "Look out for the cactussssssssssss!"
想象一下，如果你站在大庭廣眾面前做口譯，聽到上面這段話，一時想不起中文里哪些字可以產(chǎn)生類似效果，只好先照字面直譯，然后補充說明一下。
參考處理：
兩個氣球飛過沙漠。一個氣球跟另一個氣球說：“小心仙人掌!” 英文里這是個玩笑，因為英文“仙人掌”這個詞的最后一個音是“s”，聽上去像漏氣，指的是第一個氣球光顧發(fā)出警告，自己先被扎破了。
后面那些補充說明的話，筆頭翻譯是萬萬不可接受的。實戰(zhàn)口譯中不僅可以這樣處理，而且經(jīng)常必須這樣處理。
順便提一下，上面這個例子還可以這樣處理：兩個氣球飛過沙漠。一個氣球跟另一個氣球說;“小心仙人掌!”——噗哧哧哧哧哧哧哧哧哧哧哧哧。
實戰(zhàn)中，能夠完美地把幽默翻譯過去的情況是少數(shù)，需要補充說明一下的是多數(shù)。
