英語(yǔ)高考作文1

Moonlite is a term referring to those people who exhaust their earnings every month withoutany savings.

With the acceleration of globalization, it seems that the availability of various commoditieshas put more and more people into the category of moonlite.

And these people are even proud of this unique life style.

The moonlite brag their behaviors as a fashionable way to live a life.

But we have to admit that problems exist in both their beliefs and behaviors.

Firstly, industrious and economical concept has been Chinese traditional moralexcellence.

And moonlite has violated the belief seriously.

Secondly, no savings will place themselves in a difficult position in case of possibly unexpectedexpenses.

Thirdly, this immoderate consumption habit may subconsciously infect their self-controlabilities, which can result in serious consequences.

In my view, though the moonlite may acquire temporary satisfaction from immoderateconsumption, in the long term, it will deteriorate their personal financial levels.

For majority of people, their income is limited and unnecessary expenses should be avoided.

We should always bear this sentence in mind: “Live within your means and save for a rainy day. ”

The surprising fact that I discovered during my first year at the university was that quite a bignumber of students were solely motivated by the academic degree they would obtain upongraduation. Certainly, I would not go anywhere near so far as to doubt the social and economicvalue that a degree would bring to students in future. However, I deem it too nar row forstudents to maintain this kind of attitude towards their studies.

In my mind, university life contain s many enjoyable things, such as new ideas, good booksand brilliant people. And the pursuit of new ideas, the reading of good books and the camp usf riends hip r equire a student's complete devotion but will shine in his whole life.

Probably this tendency is rooted in the vocation-oriented and the career-oriented motivation. If a student discovers his vocation, he finds a life-time pleas ure in pursuing his profession. Bycontrast, a career-oriented student tends to take the academic certificate as an only means topreferment.

In conclusion, the university provides students with many golden opportunities, getting adegree being one of them. The challenge of new ideas, the leisure to read and the chance tomeet people are equally important. Anyway, a broad mind adds so much to the value of adegree.

From Monday until Friday most people are busy working or studying, but in the evenings and onweekends they are free to relax and enjoy themselves. Some watch television or go to themovies; others participate in sports. It depends on individual interests. There are manydifferent ways to spend our spare time.

Almost everyone has some kind of hobby. It may be anything from collecting stamps to makingmodel airplanes. Some hobbies are worth a lot of money; others are valuable only to theirowners.

I know a man who has a coin collection worth several thousand yuan. A short time ago hebought a rare ten-yuan piece worth 250 yuan. He was very happy about the purchase andthought the price was reasonable. On the other hand, my son collects match boxes. He hasalmost 600 of them but I doubt if they are worth any money. However, to my son they areextremely valuable. Nothing makes him happier than to find a new match-box for hiscollection.

That's what a hobby means, I guess. It is something we like to do in our spare time simply forthe fun of it. The value in money is not important, but the pleasure it gives us is.

Do you check your smartphone frequently? Do you feel distracted if your smartphone is not with you? When there’s no wifi or signal for your smartphone, will you get irritated? If you say yes, then you’ve got addiction to smartphones. Smartphone addiction is a phenomenon that causes a lot of troubles to people.

In the first place, it may cause some problems to your health, such as visual fatigue, cervical spondylosis, and even neurasthenia. A friend of mine suffers from a serious spine collapse due to her addiction to smartphones during pregnancy.

Secondly, if you keep playing with your phone when you are with your friends or family, you will spend less time talking to them. In fact, it is they who need and deserve to be cared for.

Lastly, an excessive reliance on smartphones may weaken your interpersonal skills. When you cannot find a place, you consult your GPS instead of consulting local people. You spare more time playing mobile games than playing real games with real people. As time passes, it’s possible that you may have difficulty in communicating with people.

Therefore, isn’t it better to get rid of smartphone addiction?
