We live in a world full of competition. And the examination is one of the tools to exam whether we meet the standard or not. If we want to enter the key university, we have to get high marks on the College Entrance Exam;if we want to have a good job, we will go through a series of interviews and tests;If we want to drive a car, we have to pass the driving test. Some people complain that there are too many exams in our lives, and these exams cannot truly or fully reflect a person’s ability. Unfortunately, our fate and future are depending on these exams. We cannot avoid them. 我們生活在一個充滿競爭的世界。而考試，是檢測我們是否符合要求的工具之一。如果我們要進入重點大學，我們就得在高考中獲得高分;如果我們想要找份好工作，就得通過一系列的面試和考試;如果我們想開車，就得通過駕照考試。一些人抱怨生活中有太多的考試，而這些考試并不能真正全面的反映一個人的能力?？刹恍业氖?，我們的命運和未來都取決于這些考試。我們不能擺脫考試。 It’s true that the examinations can only test what we remember instead of what we know. A student with a good memory may find it very easy to get high marks before the examinations. All he needs to do is to remember the knowledge from the textbooks. In this situation, it’s quite unfair to evaluate the students only through exams. What’s more, some unexpected accidents may happen to the students such as a high fever or a sudden headache; this will affect the final marks. The student may guess an answer right although he doesn’t work hard on the course. If the student has a good handwriting, he may get higher marks than others. There are many subjective factors that may affect the outcome of the exams. 有時候，運氣也在考試中扮演重要角色。沒認真學習的學生也有可能猜對答案。如果考生寫得一手好字，那他的分數(shù)也有可能會比其他的同學高。很多主觀的因素也會影響最終的分數(shù)。 In a word, it’s not enough to use exams to evaluate the students. It seems like a silly question, anyone in sane would give a hand to the elderly who fell. But in China, this question is becoming tricky. Many news report that there are some old people not just fell, they do it on purpose. Usually, they walk on a crowdy street, and pretend to faint or just lay down on the ground, intend to accuse the one who comes to help as a perpetrator and blackmail him/her for the treatment fee. Many people have fell for that and had to pay as there is no witness to prove their innocence. As for these negative news, people is afraid to help those old people in need, that makes some of them who are in real trouble could not get help in time. I once asked one of my friends: “Why the old people turn bad? If you see one in the street, would you help?” He said: “It is not the old people turn bad, it is the bad people turn old. I will video him/her to make a statement first, then decide if I would help.”

Every time I heard about these thing I felt so sorry for my country. China is meant to be a country with an ancient civilization and courtesy people. Should College Education Be Vocation-Oriented
Due to the increased enrollment of college students in recent years, the total number of graduates coming out at the same time is such that many college graduates have difficulties in procuring jobs,especially when the economy is suffering slowdown.And then many scholars suggest that colleges should lay emphasis on vocational training by setting relative courses in the college curriculum so that graduates are more likely to be employed. Taking the employers' requirement into consideration, that is, working experience,the suggestion seems reasonable. However, I think, even if universities become vocation-oriented, it can not serve well for the employment. Besides, the vocational orientation will do harm to the higher education.
最近幾年，隨著大學生人數(shù)的增多，同時，大學畢業(yè)生的人數(shù)也在增加，許多應屆畢業(yè)生很難找到工作，特別是在經濟發(fā)展緩慢時期尤為如此。許多學者建議大學應該注重的是職業(yè)培養(yǎng)，并在大學課程中建立相關課程，這樣，畢業(yè)生才更有可能找到工作。我們需要把雇主的要求考慮進內，這樣的話，這樣的建議是很有道理的。但是，我認為如果大學變成了以職業(yè)化教育為主的學校，那么這反而不利于找工作。此外，以職業(yè)化教育為中心的教育將會損害高等教育的發(fā)展。
Firstly, the suggestion seems to be based on the fact that new college graduates may have learned mountains of theories but lack practical abilities. In accord with this suggestion, if college students have received enough vocational training and gained experience in internship,they are likely to get employed. Admittedly, self-improvement is crucial for new graduates to hunt jobs. But the suggestion does not take into account job vacancies in the present. Though China's economy keeps growing at a rate of about 9% in the recent and the number of jobs does increase, too many graduates coming out at a time will create great pressure for the job market. As an official stated, “the grand college enrollment plan is one of the main reasons for the current unemployment issue”. Therefore,even if college students have enough experience and skills, will they succeed in procuring jobs when there are no positions available at all?
首先，這樣的建議似乎依據(jù)的是，許多應屆生或許已經學習了大量的理論知識，但是他們缺乏的是實際的能力。根據(jù)這樣的建議，如果大學生接受了職業(yè)化教育，并在實習過程中獲得了許多的經驗，那么，他們很有可能找到工作。毋庸置疑，對于應屆生而言，自我發(fā)展對于找工作尤為重要。但是，這樣的建議并沒有把眼前的工作空缺考慮進內。盡管，中國最近的經濟速率保持在9%左右，就業(yè)機會也大大增加，畢業(yè)生將會為市場增加更多的壓力。就像官方所說，”擴招是目前失業(yè)的主要原因之一”。所以，即使學生擁有足夠的經驗和技能，但是，當沒有工作空缺時，他們還會找到工作嗎?
Secondly, vocational orientation is to the detriment of the higher learning in the long term.Let us begin with the difference in goals between university and vocational training. As college students may decide to finish his studies after graduation or may continue at a higher level,university courses should thus provide both basic knowledge and a sound basis for further studies. In vocational training, the goals of a given course are distinct, that is, the course is designed to teach trainees basic knowledge and skills. In consequence, if universities are vocation-oriented, students at college can not get prepared in class for a higher level ofl earning. Predictably, the pyramid of higher learning will crumble if universities can not produce enough qualified students.
第二，從長遠來看，以職業(yè)化為中心的教育會損害高等教育的發(fā)展。讓我們先從大學和職業(yè)教育的不同說起。畢業(yè)之后，許多應屆生會尋找工作，或是繼續(xù)進行學習，大學課程應該既教授基本知識，也要為將來的學習做好基礎。在職業(yè)教育中，課程學習的目標將會不同，即，課程的目的是教授學生基本的知識和技能。所以，如果大學是以職業(yè)培訓為主的教育，那么，大學生就沒辦法為更高一級的學習做準備。人們可以預想到，高等教育的金字塔將會倒塌，前提是，如果大學沒辦法產生更多高質量的學生的話。
In conclusion, vocation-orientation may help improve graduates' skills but it can not increase the number of available positions.The suggestion just offers a wrong remedy, and will do harm to the higher learning.
總結，以職業(yè)化教育為中心的教育會幫助畢業(yè)生提升技能，但是，這卻無法增加現(xiàn)有的工作空缺。這樣的建議是行不通的，并將損害高等教育的發(fā)展。

About the wastes, we should sort the wastes, to see if they can be recycle used; use the reusable shopping bag instead of the plastic bags. About the air pollution, we should go to school on foot or by bike; we should also ask our family not to use car as much as possible, take the subway or bus instead. I hope everyone can see the environment problem and do the best to save our city.
