GRE閱讀的輔導筆記
閱讀文章分類：
1 按題材分類：從難→易
Humanities(eg文學評論)→Social Science(弱勢群體歧視問題：blacks,native,Americans,women)→Natural Science→Life Science
2 寫作方法(兩種)：
ⅠPresentation 有且只有一個觀點
ⅡArgument 有多個觀點
為什么要區(qū)分呢?是為了做主題題，比如若判定文章是Presentation的套路，則選項中出現argument, debate, dispute等等之類的詞都可以排除
3文章套路：
新老觀點對比型：traditionally, most believe 的是錯的，總是maverick
現象解釋型：出現phenomenon之類的key words
問題解決型/解答型：
結論解釋型(總分結構)
閱讀原則：邏輯閱讀，與托福閱讀題做法相反，做GRE閱讀時先文后題。理順邏輯關系!!
三種GRE備考閱讀方法：Scrutinizing, Scanning, Skipping
閱讀的key points
1 強對比(相反≠)unlike, contrast, on the other hands, on the other hand, 時間狀語(比如新老觀點對比型的文章中)出題舉例：已知A≠B,問B=?
2 強轉折(△)
although, though, while: 讓步即轉折。明顯轉折：yet, but, however
其實轉折：in fact, actually, nevertheless, nonetheless, despite, in spite of, rather, instead
極端轉折：A△(-A), 以后半句為主
多重轉折：△…△…△…△…△…△ 最后一個轉折才是關鍵所在
3 強因果(→)
因果小境界：because, since, for, thus, hence, therefore, conclude, conclusion, consequently, result in/from, lead to, lie in, 冒號分號
因果大境界：⑴attribute, traceable
⑵stimulate, motivate, spur, impetus
⑶reflection, expansion
4 敏感詞(重要暗示詞)
最高級：first, never, foremost, uttermost
唯一性：only, sole, uniquely, exclusive, alone
比較級：more…than, less…than…, as….as, the same as, similar to
更極端：peak, pinnacle, summit, abysmal, crowning, crest
5 判斷句：給出評論，
四種評論：大正，大負，混和評價(主正，主負)
adj. adv.的引入會給句子添上正負色彩，所以注意這些形容詞，副詞
例子：His(eloquent/brazen)declamation(convincingly/curiously)shaped our standpoint.
考試題型
=7+2， 2即主觀題，態(tài)度題
7=4種基本題+3難題
主題題：1 三出現(關鍵詞必須出現，文章中未提到的內容不能出現，細節(jié)不能出現)
2 一定要判定出文章的套路(比如如果是現象解釋型，就選有phenomenon的，有因果說法的reasons, factors, traceable;是問題解答型，就選有代表問題(predicament, dilemma)和解釋(solution, therapy, remedy, recipe)的詞;結論解釋型，選總分結構的詞(general, supportive, illustrate, systematically )……….
態(tài)度題：錯誤選現
1 不留余地的詞：completely, total, entire, absolute, un+表示限制意思的動詞的過去分詞，如uncircumcised, unlimited, unrestricted
2 中庸的詞：indifference, lukewarm, detached, resigned, jocular, light-hearted
3 個人情感的詞：怒rage, wrath, exasperation, 嘲笑諷刺：mock, deride;還有就是cynical
基本題：1直接事實題(eg.題干中出現明顯的因果關系與文中因果相對應)
⑴文字變換(90%) 詞匯變換，句型變換
⑵邏輯變換(10%)即逆否變換
2 取非題
⑴直接取非：強對比出題如已知A≠B,問B=?
⑵改善題：虛擬語氣+表示改善的說法(improve,比較級)
做法：回文章中找到缺點，做取非
3 舉例作用題：in order to(tips:選選項中有illustrate, give an example的)
結論是例子服務的對象，所以在結論中去找答案
4 排除題：文字變換游戲而已

Recently, your mother and I were searching for an answer on Google. Halfway through entering the question, Google returned a list of the most popular searches in the world. Perched at the top of the list was "How to keep him interested."
