一.托??谡Z(yǔ)備考攻略之找到薄弱點(diǎn)
1.定位
很多真考過(guò)的同學(xué)手頭已經(jīng)拿出了一個(gè)實(shí)實(shí)在在的口語(yǔ)分?jǐn)?shù)了。想要突破現(xiàn)在成績(jī)單上的分?jǐn)?shù),就要了解這個(gè)分?jǐn)?shù)代表了什么。
小站君認(rèn)為托??谡Z(yǔ)分?jǐn)?shù)分成三個(gè)檔次,即1-20分, 21-24分和26-30分。
分?jǐn)?shù)在1-20的同學(xué),其他三門(mén)可能有至少一門(mén)有較大缺陷,所以建議在認(rèn)真準(zhǔn)備突破口語(yǔ)的之前去把這個(gè)短木板補(bǔ)長(zhǎng)起來(lái)。
分?jǐn)?shù)在21-24的同學(xué),口語(yǔ)已經(jīng)講地還算可以了,然而在表達(dá)自己的時(shí)候還是比較吃力,表述也不是很清楚,和Native Speaker還是有可見(jiàn)的差距的。
分?jǐn)?shù)在26-30的同學(xué),能夠非常清楚和流利地表達(dá)自己,聽(tīng)上去和Native Speaker非常相近。
2.找薄弱點(diǎn)
在托福口語(yǔ)中,不存在25這個(gè)分?jǐn)?shù)。個(gè)人認(rèn)為25是個(gè)很大的分水嶺。25以下皆凡俗,25以上渡劫成功。大家可以根據(jù)評(píng)官方評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)找到自己的薄弱點(diǎn)。然后接下來(lái)就是如何克服薄弱點(diǎn)了。
二.托??谡Z(yǔ)備考攻略之克服薄弱點(diǎn)
1.基礎(chǔ)項(xiàng):語(yǔ)法和詞匯
在托福四門(mén)分項(xiàng)里,詞匯和語(yǔ)法從來(lái)都是最大頭的一部分。沒(méi)有詞匯你看不懂閱讀、聽(tīng)不懂聽(tīng)力也寫(xiě)不出文章。語(yǔ)法也同理。你在做口語(yǔ)的時(shí)候,聽(tīng)不懂口語(yǔ)題里的聽(tīng)力,看不懂口語(yǔ)題里的文章,答題時(shí)找不到自己想表達(dá)的貼切的詞、組織句子存在困難等等,你說(shuō)你能拿幾分?所以如果你覺(jué)得自己的語(yǔ)法和詞匯還存在比較大的問(wèn)題,那么你的口語(yǔ)在不提高這兩者的情況下是很難有大的提升的。
2.口音
什么是口音?其實(shí)很簡(jiǎn)單,你在講一門(mén)外語(yǔ)的時(shí)候,把另一門(mén)語(yǔ)言的發(fā)音和語(yǔ)法慣式帶入到了該外語(yǔ)中,這就是口音。比如,西語(yǔ)/斯拉夫語(yǔ)母語(yǔ)者常常把帶“r”的詞匯念出意大利歌劇的感覺(jué);又比如,一些中國(guó)的同學(xué)說(shuō)的“Chinglish”。由于中國(guó)本身方言千千萬(wàn)萬(wàn)種,普通話(huà)口音有千千萬(wàn)萬(wàn)種,英文口音也自然有千千萬(wàn)萬(wàn)種,比如北京英語(yǔ)、上海英語(yǔ)、川渝英語(yǔ)、河南英語(yǔ)、東北英語(yǔ)和港澳臺(tái)廣東英語(yǔ)等等。比如說(shuō)到底,都是沒(méi)有擺脫母語(yǔ)對(duì)英文的影響。
純正(英美)口音為什么重要呢?絕大部分的中國(guó)托??忌际菫榱烁懊缹W(xué)習(xí)或者工作的。如果有時(shí)間,一定要做Accent Reduction。雖說(shuō)中國(guó)口音是你Cultural Identity的一種具體體現(xiàn),但是擁有美國(guó)口音絕對(duì)是利大于弊的。作為學(xué)生,有美音更容易融入(打入)美國(guó)團(tuán)體,甚至是國(guó)際團(tuán)體,教更多更優(yōu)質(zhì)的朋友。教授更喜歡有美音的小朋友,因?yàn)閕t shows commitment and talents。出了校園,HR更愿意相信有美音的應(yīng)聘者,因?yàn)樗麄兏芮宄乇磉_(dá)自己,從而達(dá)到更高的工作效率......總而言之,American Accent在美國(guó)會(huì)讓你的生活更精彩。如果你在美國(guó)讀了好幾年書(shū),一出口還是一口濃濃的Chinglish,那也太不應(yīng)該了吧。
那么口音在托福口語(yǔ)中是什么樣的地位?我沒(méi)有直接的證據(jù)證明美國(guó)口音的英文是絕對(duì)有利于托??谡Z(yǔ)的提高的,畢竟ETS也不會(huì)給我們提供這樣的數(shù)據(jù)。但是如果你身邊有口語(yǔ)在26以上的同學(xué),我相信他們的英文或多或少都是帶美國(guó)口音的。退一步來(lái)講,美音對(duì)你的口語(yǔ)提高是絕對(duì)有利肯定無(wú)害的(剛剛說(shuō)了自己說(shuō)過(guò)最武斷的話(huà)呢。)所以,Accent Reduction還是很有必要的。
3.答題邏輯
答題邏輯也很重要,在答題的過(guò)程中一定要把握好邏輯,口語(yǔ)答案如何展開(kāi),如何鋪墊,如何結(jié)尾都需要很好的邏輯思維能力。

I do agree with the statement. Coz first, in workplace, those personality traits help to build up a good relation with others, like your clients, business partners, and employees, which means efficiency and sometime potential business opportunities; but if a person is too introverted, arrogant or bossy, others may feel discouraged to exchange ideas with him, that will lead to misunderstandings and even a strained relationship; second, those features also help to maintain a happy and harmonious family atmosphere, successful businessmen are usually very busy, so they should be more patient, caring and outgoing when dealing with family members who they love the most; a happy family life is just the precondition for a successful business career.

I would support the statement by the following points.
Firstly, business is partially about interacting with people, in which interpersonal skill plays a real critical role. For a negotiation between two firms, the process of getting to know each other’s needs is on the top of the list. In order to get to that point, the languages and behaviors the head of the firm use matter a lot to show its kindness and respect to the counterpart. Being friendly and out going is one of the keys during the whole process.
Secondly, for the harmonious phenomenon in the firm. You personality, to some extent, substantially affects the connections among these departments, like the manufacturing department and marketing. If the leader uses his charm in getting two of the departments cooperate in a project. Chances are high for the firm to succeed.
