Have access to有途徑（接觸，使用，接近），例：I have access to the confidential (classified) information我有條件能夠接觸到非常機(jī)密的信息。confidential“絕密的”。例：The poor children should have access to the good library. 貧困的孩子應(yīng)該有途徑使用好的圖書館 Only high officials have access to the president.只有高的官員能夠接觸到總統(tǒng)。
詞根cess = ced = ceed go
先來回憶一下曾經(jīng)講過的表示go的詞根：
gress，如progress“進(jìn)步”，regress“退步，退化”，egress“出口”，aggressive“攻擊性的”，aggression“進(jìn)攻，侵略”，congress“國會，會議”
現(xiàn)在再講cess
access = ac（to）+ cess（go）“.通道，入口”
process=pro（forward）+ cess（go）“過程，工序”，如a new process for making steel制造鋼材新的工序
course“過程（時間）”，如during my course of life 在我整個生命的過程。
excess=ex（out）+ cess（go）“過度，過分”，例：There is an excess of violence in this film這部電影有過多的暴力場景。
其形容詞為excessive“過度的，過分的”，如excessive demand過度的需求，modest“適度的”。
其副詞形式為excessively
concession=con（together）+ cess（go）+ ion大家一起向后走一走，“讓步”，例：Employers made concessions to the workers in negotiation.這些雇主在與工人的談判中做出了讓步。

precede =pre + ced（go）+ev走到前面去了，“先于……”，例：The flash of lightning preceded the sound of thunder. 閃電先于雷聲（lightning“閃電”，而lighten“照亮”)
